Lisi, 38

Usually, I scrap the photos of my kids or special events. This time, I scrapped a photo, which my DD (6) took of me in September.

Journaling is hidden on the little tag next to the butterflies. It says: Lisi, 38, married, 2 kids, teacher, likes excursions, chocolate, lists, blue, books

I based it loosely on the sketch 151 from Got Sketch

The papers are all Gabrielle from Bo Bunny. I cut out the big butterflies from one of the papers and attached them with the wings spread out.

Star Student

I am catching up on some school pictures from last year. I love using the Making the Grade papers from Little Yellow Bicycle.

The sketch from PageMaps was perfect for it.

Off to get some work done.

Adventure Seeker

Our little boy will turn 11 months in just a few days. He is such a mobile boy! Yesterday, I had to get him off the step ladder! It is amazing where he can go and how he gets there.

Creative Scrappers had this cool sketch and it was perfect for this sweet photo of DS

Here is the sketch.

And our sweet girl? She is busy with school, playdates, guitar lessons and playing with/bugging her little brother.

Off to get some work done!
Have a great week

Here comes trouble

Do I really need to elaborate on the title? It gets wild in our house!

My creative sketches had the perfect sketch for this cute photo of our little monsters.

Our Christmas season has officially started with the first visits to the Christmas markets! Now that it is getting cold, we are getting in the right mood!

All done!

Going on vacation is fun but getting there is a bit of a pain. I personally do not like to pack bags. I always have the feeling I forgot something essential. When you have two little helpers, I takes even longer (but is more fun!)

I used the sketch 79 from Sketchabilities for this layout.

I flipped the sketch because of the nice pattern on the paper.

Here are some close ups. See how full our trunk was? Ridiculous. But 2 weeks with two kids takes lots of stuff. Baby bed, baby stroller, bouncy chair you name it!

I used some prima flowers, trinkets and the sprig from kaisercraft.

Journaling is hidden behind the photo.

All papers are from the Ambrosia collection from Bo Bunny!

Dream

Our evening routine is very special to us. Here is a layout, based on the November Sketch Challenge by Artful Delight about this wonderful moment in the evening.

I had lots of fun playing with gauze again. I stained it, added Mod Podge and Gesso to it. Lots of other trinkets and rub ons and I was done.

Christmas Card eays enough for first graders

My DD's school really appreciates parental involvement. Almost every week, some volunteers help out in the classroom to maximize learning. For an Austrian, this is really a foreign concept and I love it!

So, on Dec 5th I will go in and make some Christmas cards with 22 first graders! How exciting is that.
I designed this card, which should be easy enough for little hands. I will pre-cut the Christmas trees since I only have one die cutting machine.

I will let you know how it went!

So many balls!

Usually, I prefer to scrap in a vintage/romantic style. However, some photos are just made for a clean and simple approach - especially if there are so many primary colors!

It was DS's first visit of an indoor playground. Together with his big sister and 2 cousins, they had a ball!

I based this layout on a sketch by Let's Get Sketchy

Here is a close up of the flower cluster.

 ...and the title.

We are having a bad week - both DS and I are suffering my pink eye. We have been to 2 different doctors! I am so thankful that I live in a country with great medical service. I called the emergency service at 5am when DS woke up and could not open his left eye. I am also so happy that I am still able to stay home and take care of our sick baby. Nothing better than having a sweet little one fall asleep on your chest and watch him sleep..... (and YES, this is broccoli on his chair. He loves it!)

Off to get some work done while he is taking his nap!

Me Me Me!

DD LOVES going to school. She LOVES Math. She gets so excited about knowing the right answer that she has a contract with her teacher - she has to physically hold the finger to her mouth not to shout out the answer and give the other kids a chance to think. In the photo to the right you can almost see her pop in excitement!

These photos were taken at the Math Morning where parents were invited to see how Math is taught nowadays. No wonder she loves it! The funniest thing was: in small groups, they discussed their findings. When the teacher asked: "So, how do we know this is the correct answer?" A boy blasted out: "Because Sarah said it!" Man, I was sooo proud!

I based it on the challenge from Pion Design.

I stayed very close to it, just did not add the banner but used the tape measure and some lace and put the title on top of the page.

I added some stitching around the page.

Used 3d dots to pop up the title

Smile

Finally, I got my November Swirlydoos kit. Ahhh, what a dream in teal and soft orange with some gentle taupe colors in between.

I used the sketch from Get Creative to make this layout.

Here is the sketch I used

I went nuts on layering. Just had so much fun creating the different borders.

No flower cluster this time. I had one but it looked too busy. Just a single wonderful bloom with some bling around it.

The title is a rub on!

I love bow ties - this one just has  a cute little pin added to it. The ribbon is from an earlier Swirlydoos kit. I think it is called "Grandma's attic" but I am not sure.

Sometimes life gets really busy!

Just like this week! I am very fortunate that my employer paid for a 3 day training course although I am still on maternity leave. It was great, valuable and interesting and it was great training for January when I go back to work. But it also meant I really had to use my time carefully. And DS has started to walk all by himself - not only that but immediately, he started kicking balls as he had seen from his big sister. This keeps me busy!

I managed to make a Christmas card and finish the mini album for DH's father and partner. I have to mail it pretty soon if I want it to arrive on time.

The basis is a round tin album by DCWV. I inked the bottom (have not used my alcohol inks in a long time!), covered the lid with flowers and sealed it with modge podge.

I kept it quite simple since it had to fit in the tin.

The background to this page, I made using different Washi tapes.

And the Christmas card

My cute bat

Here is the second layout of our Halloween celebration. Since I am working on 3 albums at the same time (DH/mine, DD and DS) I always scrap each event three times. At least the big ones.

The inspiration was from Get Creative to use 3 or more different photos.

We had trick or treat in our house with the neighbor's kids and cut off hands (toast with jam) and monster eyes (cheese, carrots and capers) for dinner.

My friend Conny figured out that using "Mullbinde" from the pharmacy makes a great replacement for cheesecloth and it is very cheap as well! I inked it with "spiced marmalade" and "barn door" from Tim Holtz.

To get the dimension on the flag, I got the resist canvas really wet and placed it between pens, let it dry and now it keeps the shape perfectly.

Need to have some little bats for my cute bat.

DH getting DS to sleep. I just love how he hugs is DADA.

Baby Card

Very soon, a friend of mine will have a baby - so I made sure I had a card ready just in case the princess will arrive early.

Before I have to dash, I want to share a short video with you. DH and DS just being silly!
